Who is OUT?? ME!!!!

Just got word that I got the lowest score and am out of the Fabric Mart contest. I am not nearly as upset as I thought I might be and am so glad I entered.  Thanks for all the nice comments from you all and to Fabric Mart for sponsoring this fun challenge.   It has been a ball and best of all I came out of it with 4 finished outfits that are really "me" and I will wear.      So if you are ever debating about entering a contest like this I say "Go for It"----I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

One other fortunate thing for me----I am an avid knitter, which has been put on hold for the contest and it is turning into sweater weather here in a hurry.  Just got some wonderful new yarn so there will be the clacking of knitting needles around here soon---hope to be back and show you my new sweater when it's done.

                                                               Thanks Again to all---

  14. I think they (whoever they are...) are leaning towards more conventional outfits, if the result of the last three mean anything. And you are anything but conventional. Keep up the good work, and look forward to seeing future inspiring creations. Btw, a friend here is an avid knitter, and they just had a big knitting retreat up at Snowbird, sounded wonderful. I'm not a knitter, but can admire from afar...

  16. I wonder if the young ones have more online fans voting. For sure your outfit was far more interesting and creative than a lot of others. Not to worry, it is all in good fun and the prizes aren't anything to cry over not getting. I am sure you will enjoy your outfits. And have fun knitting :)

  27. I was sorry to see you go this week. I really liked having someone else similar in age and experience in the contest. I thought we did a great job of holding our own against the talented, cute, younger contestants. Enjoy wearing the wonderful garments you created for the challenges. I am sure your knitting is just as fabulous and creative as your sewing.

  28. Oh! Dang it! I was so rooting for you! At the same time I was thinking it must be really hard work thinking up ways to meet the challenges so I imagine that part is a relief. I'll check back to see your sweater.Happy knitting! (I don't like to knit!!)

  31. I love what you made - and I think your pack of given fabrics was by far the most uninspiring. So that makes the wonderful outfit you came up with a real tribute to your creativity. Best wishes, Louise
